Alt Ventures was founded by Chris Jagger in 2019, after more than 15 years in company building, private investment and fund management across New Zealand, Australia, the UK and USA.  Chris is joined by a number of senior advisors from the videogaming, media and tech industries who advise Alt Ventures on investments and assist investee companies and founders.

Since its inception, AV has raised a number of pre-Seed and Seed funds and in 2021 raised New Zealand's first venture capital fund focused exclusively on videogaming and creative technology, which is now Alt Ventures' primary focus.
